The ink bar is harder than the so-called “stone” it comes with, which is hard, smooth plastic. I imagined that it would not be a real stone, for the price, but at least it could have a somewhat rougher surface to be able to rub the ink bar.
The ink bar will last a lifetime, there is no way to undo it enough to leave enough pigment.
